IBAN, BIC and SWIFT explained
In brief: SWIFT bank transfers are available worldwide; SWIFT codes are similar to BIC. A BIC can be combined with the details provided by the IBAN to provide automated international funds transfers.
Members of the SWIFT has its own id number called the BANK SWIFT CODE.
The 8-digit BIC Code uniquely identifies the head office of the bank. Deutsche Bank is an international bank, with its head office in Frankfurt, Germany.
